Google+ Cave Food Kitchen: Celeriac Fries

Celeriac Fries

Don't be fooled by it's ugly exterior: the celeriac is a very versatile, low calorie vegetable that is also high in vitamin C. It's also about 40% lower in calories than regular potatoes.

You can mash it for example, but this time we're making oven baked fries.
It's really simple, and you can add your own seasoning or just stick with salt & pepper.

Instructions:

Heat the oven to 180C (Why? Because my oven can't go any hotter, it's old)
seasoning
Wash the Wilson look-a-like, then cut into slices.

Next, cut them into strips, decide what thickness you want the fries to be. A whole celeriac will get you about 500 grams worth.
Sprinkle some olive oil over the fries, and add your seasoning.

Bake the fries in the oven for 30 mins until crispy. Enjoy!

Served with a hamburger on a gluten free bun
