Whole30 2014 - Day 1

It's 2014, meaning a new year, new adventures and a new Whole30! Starting a little earlier than last year,
today is day 1 and have to admit, we were looking forward to it.
After all the Holiday celebrations with lots of food and booze, it's actually nice to now clean things up during these 30 days.
What works so well especially with the Whole30, are the allowed/not allowed rules. There are no grey zones, or doubts if something is ok or not, and when in doubt, you can always refer to the forum.

It works in you advantage to have already done a Whole30, you know what to expect and what to do. Coming weekend we'll make sure we're stocked up on everything and meal plans will be made.

Work starts next week, so meal 1 was a bit later today. Simply 4 eggs, some jalapenos, sausage scrambled together, accompanied by a few macadamias, kale & spinach.

Pre-workout I had a few almonds and some coconut chips.

After my work-out, I wasn't very hungry, but had the 2nd meal of the day; 1 cup of egg whites, scrambled, some carrots, shrimp & pomegranate seeds.

Last meal of the day was the
caramelized chicken with carrot &
zucchini noodles.

All in all, a good start of the next 30 days of Whole30!
