1 1/4 cup of cashews (unsalted)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder

1 1/2 cup almond milk
1 tbsp coconut vinegar
1/4 cup light olive oil
8 tsp of gelatin powder
In a pot, bring some water to a boil and add in the cashews. Let them simmer for 15 minutes and then strain the water. Add in all the ingredients above the dotted line, and grind it all together in a food processor.
Bring the almond milk, vinegar & oil to a simmer and dissolve the gelatin. Add in the nut mixture and with a hand mixer, make it into a smooth puree.
Pour into a bowl and let it cool off, then place in the fridge for at least 2 hours to set.
Have to say, it tastes really nice!
Is it possible to substitute almonds for the cashews or will that not work?
