Whole30: Day 33 & Reintroduction part 1

Had a feeling this morning the faux-lafel didn't agree much with me (nuff said? I'm sure you get what happened) but then again, my meals from yesterday weren't very creative and perhaps a bit too much of the same thing.
Today will be a day of reintroduction, so we are curious to find out what's going to happen. Stepped on the scale this morning for the first time, and compared to when I started, I lost 2-3 lbs. Not very much, but my intent wasn't to lose any weight after all. Combined with the leaner look, I can safely conclude that I've gained some muscle mass in the process. Nice!

Chapter 9 of "It starts with Food" is dedicated to the reintroduction of the foods that were eliminated during the whole30. This is of course a personal choice, it can very well be you don't want to reintroduce everything back again. For example, before the whole30, I was hardly eating any grains, except for the occasional pizza, so there would be no need for me to reintroduce it.

It's advised to gradually introduce food groups:
Day 1: Dairy
Day 4: Gluten containing grains
Day 7: Non-gluten containing grains
Day 10: Legumes

We started today with a whole30 breakfast, I had 4 strips of bacon, 4 eggs fried on top, 1/2 an apple, some sweet potato mash & coconut chips. Sprinkled with cinnamon, this was truly delicious!

Next meal was macadamia encrusted salmon with broccoli, carrots, sweet ptotato & Brussel sprouts.

Had a banana & almond pre-workout, post-workout a boiled egg.

Then the first challenge: we were invited for dinner at a friend's house, and we decided to bring 2 bottles of wine, red & white.

Had about 3 glasses of white that evening, but didn't want more, and usually i'd never turn down a glass! Had some potato-crisps as well (nice!)

We had pea-soup for dinner, this is a very common Dutch dish to have in winter, very rich and hearty.

Basically wanted to sleep at 10 pm already, I think the wine really knocked us both out!
