"Sugar in Bacon??"
In the Whole30 bacon manifesto, there is a clear statement: bacon that has sugar in it is not allowed. Now I feel a bit silly for not knowing this before, but even the bacon in my fridge has it and I didn't even bother to check the label, until this morning. Oh well, guess you can see it as a rookie mistake. Although it still doesn't make any sense to me why there is actually sugar in bacon in the first place. If someone knows, i'd love to know! So breakfast was sugar bacon (ok, it was only 0,3 grams) and the same style omelet as on day 1.
Topped off with a 1/4 cup of our favorite berry mix & coconut milk. Kept me full till about noon, for the last few days I've noticed I get hungry more early than usual.
Lunch was a mix of the red cabbage, fennel, boiled egg, broccoli & sliced meat.
Pre work-out snack: few almonds, 1/2 avocado and a banana.
Then a killer "Filthy Fifty" at crossfit...
Dinner:
Tuna steak, grilled red and yellow pepper, tomato & onion from the oven with a tbsp of ghee on top.
On the side, a mixed salad.
After dinner, some creamed coconut mixed with cocoa powder.
There's probably sugar added in the sliced meat you ate for lunch. Almost every sliced meat you buy in supermarkets are loaded with sugar. Check the labels, you'll be surprised... Check out www.lindenhoff.nl. here you can buy (also online) pure foods and drinks like raw milk. You''ll love it!
