Keto Bread recipe
Tweet
My quest for Paleo bread was an elaborate one, but months later, the desire to have my daily bread pretty much disappeared. Usually when talking about my "diet" to others, i explain that i don't miss bread at all anymore. But this weekend i decided to make another attempt, but making sure it was more low carb.
The last few recipes i made contained arrow root powder, and a quick look on mfp made it pretty clear that arrowroot was a no-go this time (1 cup contains 113gr of carbs)
After a bit of looking around, i found this recipe:
2 cups flaxseed meal
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
5 eggs
1 tbsp sweetener
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup oil
Preheat the oven to 180C (350F)
Mix all the ingredients together and pour into a greased loafpan.
Bake for about 30 mins.
The downside about flaxseed meal, is that to me it has a slight fishy smell/taste. But this bread is perfect for Nutella (KIDDING!)
Note: i made my own flaxseed meal; all you need are whole flaxseeds & a coffee grinder.
If the calculations are right, the loaf should contain about 68 gr of carbs (fiber carbs)
