Finally, a video with a simple and short explanation about why the stigma about saturated fats is completely wrong. Thanks to a "scientist" named Ancel Keys, who conducted a research in the 50's to find a relation between diet and heart disease in 22 different countries. The results, however, are very disputable; only 7 countries were included in the results and only men were part of the research. Unfortunately, this research formed the foundation for many misconceptions, for example:
Thanks Ancel (NOT!!)
- saturated fats are bad for you --> really?? - high-carb, low fat diets are healthy - cholesterol is bad for you - fat causes obesity "Funny" detail; the research did show that cigarette smoking increased the risk of heart disease, but in the K-rations, developed by and named after Keys, included a pack of cigarettes.
