Nowadays i know that eating in a healthy way and making the right food choices will pretty much supply all the vitamins, minerals & protein you need, but sometimes taking a protein supplement won't hurt.
The only thing you have to do with this, is to check the label.
Just because it's a sports supplement doesn't make it healthy, and you would be shocked to find out the amount of crap they put in some products (food coloring, aspartame, anyone?)
A while ago i had ordered some products from Jay Robb, my review you'll find here, and i ordered some samples as well to try. Again, the ingredient list is short, a good sign.
My taste test was for the chocolate flavor.
I mixed it up with a cup of almond milk & 1/4 cup of heavy cream, going for the keto approach and to keep the amount of carbs low.
The supplement facts: (vanilla flavor)
So carb content is 4g, which is not too bad, but there are supplements out there with a lower carb count, i will post a review about that later.
Now, the taste. Hmmm, well. For a few times now, i've tried to use Stevia in some recipes, but no matter how i try, i just can't handle the taste of this stuff. For a natural sweetener, in my opinion it tastes pretty darn chemical.
The chocolate flavor is nice and smooth though, so if you can handle the Stevia, Jay Robb is a pretty good choice.
