Google+ Cave Food Kitchen: Masala Beef lunch

Masala Beef lunch

As i am eating more meat, i am also starting learn how to cook these meats as i go. Usually in  the supermarket i grab any organic option i can get my hands on, when i realize later i need to figure out what to do with it. Tonight was one of those nights, and this time it was pre-sliced beef.

300 grams sliced beef
200 grams green beans
3 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 tsp masala
1/2 tsp chili powder
coconut oil
1 clove of garlic
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp dried parsley
1/2 cup feta cheese (optional)
pinch of salt (if you don't use feta)

Heat the coconut oil, garlic, onions and spices. Add the beef and tomato, and simmer on low heat for about 10-15 mins. In the meantime, steam the green beans in a separate pan, al dente. In addition, i also steamed some sliced carrots.
Mix the green beans in with the beef, and add the optional cubed feta cheese. Let it simmer for another 5 mins.
Serve with (in my case) steamed carrots and a salad.
The left-overs i put in a container to take to work, very happy with the result!
