Google+ Cave Food Kitchen: Funky Meatballs

Funky Meatballs

Since going back to meat, the one thing i wanted to make were meatballs. Going Paleo has also made a big impact om my spice collection, so it was time to put things to the test. The meatballs can be eaten plain, with a tomato sauce, plenty of options!

To get started:
1 lb of ground beef
1 egg
1 onion, chopped up
1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. coriander powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. dried oregano
2 tbsp. ground cumin
ghee

Mix all the ingredients, except the ghee, very thoroughly. Pre-heat the oven to 180C (350F)
Roll little balls out of the beef mix, about 4 cm diameter. Scoop some ghee in an ovendish, and when it's melted, add the meat balls and cook for about 25 mins.
In the picture, it was served over sweet potato noodles and veggies, with a tomato sauce.
