It looks more like a dessert, but can be a breakfast too, and hey, we're adults right? We can do anything we want!
Edit: Some of you are looking for a more low carb option, you can do this by simply omitting the banana. To make it less dense, add a bit of baking soda.
1 ripe banana
1 ripe banana
1,5 tbsp almond butter (or any nut butter)
1 egg
1,5 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tsp sweetener
Optional:
Chocolate chips, walnuts, dried fruit, or other mix-ins.
Mash the banana into a puree.
Then mix in the other ingredients, till it’s a batter-like mix.
Pour the batter into a bowl. Only fill the container up to 2/3rds the way because it will expand.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes until the center is set. Enjoy hot or cold. It’s delicious!
Looks delicious, I'm going to try it. Where in Amsterdam do you purchase ingredients like almond botter? I was thinking about going to Delicious Food on the Westerstraat.
ReplyDeleteEko Plaza sells it.
DeleteDelicious Foods as far as i know doesn't sell it, but i also use the Horizon brand you can find in any bio-store. Down side is, there is salt added to it. I also sometimes make my own almond butter, from either raw almonds or roasted almonds. If you are not too Paleo conscious, you could use peanut butter too.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm going to check them out as well. Not too impressed by what most bio-stores sell. They're way too heavy on the grains. I'm off peanuts and not missing them, surprisingly.
ReplyDeleteRan into this site as well: http://www.sportsnuts.nl
ReplyDeleteNice!
DeleteMade paleo-brownies today with this recipe. Delish... and the audience agreed.
ReplyDeleteWhat if you don't own a microwave? Would an oven or au bain marie also work?
ReplyDeleteYou could for sure try the oven option, with au bain marie it is just not hot enough. Maybe start at 160 celcius for about 25 mins?
DeleteMaking food it more delicious with the mix of sukrin. It is made of natural ingredients that has a lot of nutrients.
