Went on another hunt again (quite Paleo, right?) and found this recipe below. Again, who-ever posted it was raving about it, but i fell for that one already a few times and came out VERY disappointed. So, here we go....
1 ½ cup Arrowroot Powder (about 170 grams)
1 cup Flaxseed Meal (about 95 grams)
4 Eggs
4 Tbsp Walnut Oil
2 tsp Sea Salt
4 tsp Baking Powder
2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
Mix all ingredients thoroughly, pre-heat oven to 350 (or about 180 celcius) and bake in a loaf pan for 45-50 minutes. And i must say, it's the best bread i've tasted so far! It's a little on the dry side, so next time i'll add some more oil. Or spread some coconut oil on it, true Paleo style!
You must really love bread! :) I dropped it completely and haven't looked back. After looking up Arrowroot powder though, it seems to make a great substitute for other things.
ReplyDeleteI certainly love bread! In my previous post i already mentioned my concern about missing bread & Dutch cheese. Just had a slice of this with some Old Beemster, and i was very happy :-)
ReplyDeleteNext attempt will be with Chia seed flour. Was happy to discover Arrowroot powder, works really well and not expensive at all (unlike coconutflour)
